About Me

I am a multimedia journalist, editor, programmer, digital strategist and designer based in New York City. I spend a lot of time playing with words and photos and turning them into small digestible bits of news for Internet users. I also create a lot of original content: aggregated write-ups, long-form original pieces, clicky galleries, shareable quizzes, etc. On top of all of this, I manage to find time to drink an unhealthy amount of Diet Coke and play with my two skinny pigs.

I currently work as the director of digital media at HIGH TIMES. My job includes monitoring and curating cannabis-related stories; programming content; managing social media; planning and executing social media marketing campaigns for the HIGH TIMES Cannabis Cups; covering breaking news; writing stories; editing content; and creating a pixel-perfect web experience.

In the past, I have worked as a staff writer, photographer, designer, copy editor, fact-checker, section editor, managing editor and senior editor for a wide array of newspapers, magazines and websites. I am originally from the South and have a degree in journalism with a specialization in magazine editorial and design from the University of Mississippi.
